I don't want to ruin a new pair of shoes. What if I make a mistake?
We recommend that you try painting an old pair of shoes until you are comfortable painting a new pair. An easy way to protect against mistakes is to mask of parts of the shoe you do not want painted with masking tape.
I don't consider myself very artistic. Is the "Custom Kit" only for people who are?
The "Custom Kit" is very easy for anybody to use. When JGoods came up with the idea for the "Custom Kit", his first goal was to simplify the process. Shoe customization is new to most people so don't feel like you have to have experience to do it.
Does your paint chip, crack, fade or rub off?
NO.
The JGoods Paint does not crack. The paint used is specially mixed by us, formulated for leather and has been developed and tested thoroughly for problems. The paint will not peel, chip, crack or rub off. It is also water and fade proof. As long as you follow the directions in "The Orginal Guide to Shoe Customization", your shoes will last a long time. As you can see in the pictures, the paint is tough. The shoes below were worn constantly for over 6 months. Notice how the paint creases with the leather...
Can I order custom mixed paints?
Yes, you can do this in the "JGoods Paint and Accessories" section. The "Pick Five" paint set allows you to order any custom color.
What custom paint colors can I order?
Any color you can think of. We will hand mix it exactly to your specifications.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is $7.00 to any address in the United States and $15.00 to any address around the world (unless otherwise noted).
Is My Payment to JGoods Customs Secure?
All Payments are done online through the 100% secured "https" Paypal server. Paypal is an eBay company that is trusted world wide. JGoods Customs will never receive your credit card number (Paypal transfers your payment to us). Paypal protects the sensitive information on its online secure servers which are the best in the world.
Does JGoods Customs have a satisfaction guarantee?
We have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you are not satisfied with your product within 3 days of receipt you can send it back to us for full refund (less shipping fees). All returns must be in original new condition with all accessories in new condition. We cannot take back any used products.
Can I customize any shoe?
Yes, as long as it is made of leather.
Can I paint midsoles (the bottom of the shoe)?
No, as far as we know, there is no paint that will successfully adhere correctly to a rubber midsole enough to wear.
